How to be a Well Being in uncertain times

“May you live in interesting times.”

That’s an old expression that is usually used as a curse of sorts. No one would deny that we live in interesting times during the year 2020. Many people would gladly exchange 2020 for an uninteresting and tranquil year.

In my new book, How to be a Well Being, my co-authors and I present 22 rules to help you maintain a positive mindset and regain control of your happiness in a world gone mad. We tackle the question: Can you be happier if nothing around you changed? (Spoiler alert: Yes, you can!)

I had a chance to discuss some of the main lessons from the book for Bentley University’s Office of Alumni and Family Engagement. Here’s what we covered:

  • How to minimize the effect of external events on your level of happiness

  • The impact your emotions have on your friends and family

  • Sleep as a mental health booster

  • The power of gratitude

  • Leverage past regrets for a better future

  • And, a whole lot more…

Here’s a link to the recording. Enjoy!
